What to Expect on Your Tour
GRACIAS! for choosing Authentic Tours Tulum for your excursion, we are delighted to host you and your companions! Here are the basics for all of our tours:
What Does My Tour Include?
- Roundtrip A/C Transportation within the greater Tulum area directly from/to your accommodation. Pickups can be made from other locations farther outside of Tulum for an extra charge per passenger.
- Professional Trilingual Guide. Tours can be done in English and/or Spanish, and even in Italian! If you have another language request please contact us to see if it’s possible to provide a tour in your language of choice for an extra fee
- All necessary equipment such as life jackets, snorkel gear, etc.
- All entrance fees to parks and historical sites
- Morning mimosas (we are firm believers that this is the only way to start your day!), beer, tequila, fresh juices, bottled water, soft drinks, and snacks. We can add other options for an extra fee or you are welcome to BYO
- Lunch at a local restaurant providing authentic Mexican/Mayan food. Most dietary preferences can be accommodated! Please let us know ahead of time if you or anyone in your party has a specific dietary need
What Should I Bring?
- Swimsuit. Most of our tours include a water feature so we recommend to come wearing a suit under your clothing
- Comfortable Walking Shoes, Sandals, or Flip Flops
- Towel
- Change of Clothes (optional)
- Sun Hat and Sunglasses
- Biodegradable Reef-Safe SPF
- Biodegradable Insect Repellant
- Camera, GoPro, or Waterproof Casing for your phone
- Souvenir and Tip Money (most places in Tulum accept US Dollars, but many businesses operate as cash only and do not accept Credit Cards)
- We do NOT recommend bringing anything of significant value with you, however any items you leave stored in our van will be locked and safe while you are enjoying your day
Physical Exertion Levels Guideline
- Low Intensity: Everyday Movements such as Walking, Stretching, Light Lifting 40-50% MHR
- Moderate Intensity: Brisk walking, Hiking Uphill, Swimming 50-70% MHR
- High Intensity: Vigorous Activity, Accelerated Heart Rate, Endurance Hiking or Climbing 70-85% MHR
