Get to know one of the seven wonders of the Ancient world! On the Chichen Itza Archaeological site guided private tour you will learn about the intellectual development of the Maya, their beliefs and cosmogony, their architecture, beautiful sculptures, and carvings.

Afterwards we will swim at a cenote considered sacred by the Maya. These are reservoirs of pure, crystal clear water. Your private guide will tell of the legends and history of the Yucatan. Then you can let your taste buds go wild with the wide variety of flavors, spices and colors of our traditional Mayan foods! On the city tour you will visit the Spanish city of Valladolid, the Government Palace, San Bernardino Monastery and the main church in the park all of which you will find a myriad of opportunities for great photos!

We should arrive at Chichen Itza within two hours and the tour length depends on your interest, we are in no rush. We will require two and a half hours for a comprehensive visit with extra time to take pictures.
Afterwards, we will cool off at a cenote to swim and admire the geological formations produced sixty five million years ago!
A traditional lunch is offered at a local’s favorite restaurant away from the crowds. We will present a selection of the most representative and traditional dishes of Yucatan so you may get a taste of the Mayan culture!
Before we return, we will enjoy a city tour of colonial Valladolid.
